The dual speed option may be chosen for any Eastman 627 or 629 straight knife, EXCEPT 220 volt, single phase. (Variable speed requires a different machine.) It must be chosen when ordering the knife and cannot be retrofitted. Dual Speed provides a switch activated lower speed for reducing friction when cutting heat-sensitive fabrics such as vinyl.
