The 8HTC-5 is a premium thread clip designed for cutting composite fibers made of aramids and other high strength materials. These tools feature:
- Forged steel blades made with a spring loaded ball bearing supported pivot screw for smooth tool closing and opening action.
- High carbon hot forged American steel blades that are through hardened to Rockwell 60C with a hard industrial Rockwell 72C plating to assist in holding their cutting edge.
- Blades that have the top and bottom edge angles and serrations that are designed for the holding and cutting of aramid or similar materials.
The #8HTC-5 is a proprietary tool designed by Heritage that has been used extensively for over 25 years by the composites using community.
